Upon seeing this first-year garden, one would think that it has been growing for years. The combination of impressive landscaping and skilled gardeners makes Union Avenue Garden a jewel of the neighborhood.

Open Door Baptist Church has converted this once empty field into a bountiful community garden, featuring a wide variety of vegetables, and an enthusiastic group of gardeners! This sprawling garden covers almost an entire street block!

One of Cleveland’s oldest gardens and once a part of Cleveland Public Schools Horticulture Program, Paul Revere comprises over 75 plots. Walking through the well-groomed pathways of Paul Revere, it is easy to notice the talent and experience of the gardeners who dedicate their time to make this site the oasis it is!

This charming garden has become a centerpiece of the Frontier neighborhood.  Now into its third year, one can find a variety of crops in the Frontier Community Garden, from cilantro to beets. Make sure to scope out the artwork featured in the garden- including painted fence posts alluding to the history of this neighborhood.

Believe it or not, most of this urban farm is built on top of a parking lot!  Now into its fourth year, Gather ‘Round features fresh eggs from its chicken coop, a perennial herb garden, a rain garden, and ever expanding permiculture efforts.  With the farm’s popularity continuing to grow, the farmers hope to establish a Community Supported Agriculture project soon. Make sure to ask about their weekly market hours! 

This beautiful garden is home to 40 gardeners with diverse talents and extraordinary growing styles. The harvest from E.C. Grows’ community beds is shared with members of the neighborhood.   From these beds gardeners are able to share the fruits of their labor with neighbors, friends, and passers-by. With the Coit Road Market located right across the street, there is always a reason to check out this East Cleveland gem!
